Karnataka HC judge killed in road mishap

Anantapur/Kadapa, May 19 : In a ghastly road mishap, a Karnataka High Court judge was killed and three other members of his family suffered serious injuries.

According to police, the mishap occurred at around 11:30 am near Odulapalli village under Talupula police station limits in Anantapur when the car in which the judge, Justice Govindarajulu (56), was travelling along with his wife and two sons, turned turtle. The car driver is suspected to have lost control of the vehicle while the judge’s family was proceeding from Bangalore to a relative’s house in Proddatur when the accident took place, between Kadiri and Pulivendula.

Justice Govindarajulu, his wife and sons were administered first aid in a private clinic in Pulivendula and rushed to the Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences Hospital in Kadapa in an ambulance. However, the Judge succumbed to injuries, while his wife and sons are said to be in a serious condition, according to Kadapa Superintendent of Police M K Sinha.
