Andhra Pradesh CM Kiran Kumar Reddy did what he promised to do. He got the Telangana bill /AP State Reorganisation bill 2013, which was sent by his Congress High Command led by Sonia Gandhi through President Pranab Mukherjee rejected in the assembly.
Amidst severe protests from telangana representatives Speaker Nadendla Manohar introduced the resolution of CM Kiran for rejecting the bill. While Telangana representatives opposed it, seemandhra representatives demanded voting, Speaker tactically went for voice voting and announced that the bill was rejected before adjourning the house sine die.
CM Kiran later urged President Pranab Mukherjee not to send the bill to the Parliament. Now the President has two options. To send back the bill to the Union Govt or consider legal opinions.
