Digvijay Singh, AP in-charge of the Congress Party, speaking in Delhi, minutes after AP assembly rejected Telangana bill with voice vote said the bill was not rejected. He said the bill which was sent to AP assembly by Union Govt through President was only to get its views and not for voting.
Elaborating further he said CM Kiran Kumar Reddy’s resolution opposing Telangana bill is not at all a hurdle in the formation of Telangana. He remarked that Union Govt will make some amendments in the present bill if necessary. Digvijay made it clear that there won’t be any action on CM Kiran for rejecting the bill sent by his party which is ruling the Country.
