Ever since TDP supremo showered praises on Narendra Modi’s leadership and started boasting that he was responsible for NDA role at Centre, rumors started floating on TDP BJP alliance. Though BJP top brass did not come out in open over the alliance, it tried to rein in its Telangana leaders and party Chief Kishen Reddy on making comments against the alliance.
However still BJP leaders haven’t decided on having alliance with the TDP. The party itself is divided on alliance. Sources say while senior leaders are keen on having an alliance, juniors are against the alliance. Rajnath Singh who arrived in Hyderabad, met party leaders in a hotel to get their views on alliance with TDP.
Junior leaders like said there is no need to have alliance with TDP as the party is doing well.Seniors however said seat sharing should be finalised before having any understanding with TDP or TRS. Rajnath said till now nothing is finalised about alliances and it will be taken at appropriate time.
In the meantime Chandra Babu Naidu of TDP in his meeting with party leaders said BJP needs their party and asked them not to respond to BJP state leaders comments against alliance. However some leaders requested Babu not to go for alliance if the state is divided.
